Are you interested in taking a trip to Nepal? Whether that trip is a honeymoon or just a traditional vacation, you may be interested in trekking in Nepal. Trekking in Nepal is one the many draws to the area, as it is recommended by many.

If you are interested in trekking in Nepal, you may want to think about making your arrangements in the form of a trekking package. When doing so, you will find that you are often provided with overnight accommodations, among other things. In fact, you may be wondering exactly what a trekking in Nepal tour may include. If you are, you will want to continue reading on.

When it comes to determining what may be included in a trekking in Nepal tour, it is important that you remember that there may be a variance. Not all Nepal trekking tours are the same. For that reason, it may be best for you to research and examine each trekking tour that you may be interested taking individually. Despite the possibility for a variance, a trekking in Nepal tour may include many things. Just a few of those thing are briefly touched on below.

When you make reservations for a trekking in Nepal tour, you will likely find that your tour take ups the majority of your vacation, unless you make other arrangements as well. For that reason, transportation to and from the airport is often a part of Nepal trekking tour. As a reminder, it is advised that you examine the trekking in Nepal tour that you purchase before counting on someone to pick you up at the airport.

In addition to transportation to and from the airport, you will also find that many of your meals are included. For many, breakfast is free of charge. Depending on which trekking in Nepal tour you make reservations for, other meals may be provided. If you are not given complimentary meals or meals are not included in your tour price, you should contact the tour company in question, preferably before your trekking adventure begins to determine what food and drinks you should bring along with you.

As it was previously mentioned, it is common for a trekking in Nepal tour to include overnight accommodations. The only thing that you need to remember is that you will likely trek in un-chartered terrain; terrain where there are no hotels or vacation resorts. In most cases, you will find that trekking involves spend the night in a tent. Speaking camping in a tent, you need to determine if your trekking supplies will be provided to you or if the tour company in question has supplies available for rental.

Once again, as a reminder, it is important to remember that not all trekking in Nepal tours are the same. That is why it is advised that you take the time to compare multiple tours. This will help to ensure that the trekking in Nepal tour that you do choose is the one that is best for you and the rest of your traveling party.

For any person conversant with hiking, packing light isn’t anything new. Every one of us has been hiking. So often, we have just gone off for a hike with merely a blanket, a drinking water bottle and some food. All of us are very aware of the value of packing light. A few of these benefits are detailed below.
- It becomes way easier to climb a hill
- Your knees will bless you when you are sliding downhill
- You’ll be able to enjoy your hike much more.
It is very important to recollect that while hiking, the destination isn’t important. Rather, it is the hike that has to be delightful. While carrying a heavy back-pack, we tend to hike, then rest. Hike again, then again rest. By the afternoon, we may even call it a day because of the sheer exhaustion of carrying along a heavy back-pack. This takes away all the thrill of hiking.
For packing light, it’s very important to consider each item one by one. It is the tent that is among the heaviest items. Take a trip to the market as there are a range of lightweight tents available. The nylon ones are light and quite cosy too.
Next are the sleeping bags. Even these are pretty heavy. You can choose the lighter and cushty variety that’ll be available at a price, though. Another possibility is to substitute a duvet for a sleeping bag. The target is of packing light, though not at the cost of comfort.
The backpack itself can be pretty heavy. This is because it is designed in order to bear heavy load. So in case you are planning and packing light, you may not actually need a heavy back-pack that has got a large frame and is also made of thick and heavy fabrics. Besides, the heavier the back-pack, the higher will be its cost. So in case you are packing light, you can change your backpack appropriately.
Next, you need to lighten up on the littler items. But do remember not to compromise on your comfort during the excursion.
Various options are available in a stove. You may select one that is adequately light to carry and uses a fuel that is generally available around. There are the alcohol fuel type stoves, the solid fuel type and the liquid fuel type stoves. You’ll select one that can meet all your needs.
There isn’t any need to carry a gigantic inventory of crockery and cutlery while going for a hike. Ideally, a pot and a spoon must be ok. You must be able to eat in the same pot in which you cook. This will save you on carrying the cleaning clobber too.
A sleeping mat if carried along, needs to be light. On the other hand, you can attempt to use worn clothes or even the empty back pack instead .
While selecting garments for the trip, stay away from cotton as that is quite ponderous. Rather, opt for thin synthetics. Therefore, packing light requires plenty of planning as well as thinking to achieve what you really want.

Even if your camp is surrounded with a bitter cold temperature, a sleeping bag can be carried to keep you warm and to make you feel comfortable with its light weight.

Shopping sleeping bags is made easy by making a rating list of all products. There are 3 key factors that should be taken note of when shopping for a sleeping bag. Researching for sleeping bag reviews will surely help you in this long process of decision making.

Let’s delve into the temperature rating. Every sleeping bag is made for a specific temperature. This is why there is a need for you to choose the bag that should match the expected temperature in your camp. You will notice that the name of the sleeping bag comes along with its rating. Notice how a number sign and a number is extended in the title. So if you saw +25 this means that the minimum temperature for this sleeping bag is +25F. This new style of rating is very reliable, accurate and efficient. It also guide people who are shopping for sleeping bags.

You should also take note of the weight and its capacity. When traveling with a backpack, you always would want to keep the weight low so that you can still experience comfort and safety during your travel. Few backpackers opt to carry around with the light weighted sleeping bags because they are concerned with the price, convenience, durability and comfort. While other backpackers prefer to risk their comfort and convenience of bringing the, while traveling because they want to have a goodnight sleep at the end of the day. But to the best of the ability of the manufacturers, they strive to meet and balance the two goals of making a light weight and comfortable sleeping bags.

The type of insulation should also be considered when choosing a sleeping bag. There are two types of fill for this and they are known to be the down and the synthetic. Goose-down fills are known to be very light, breathable, compressible and durable. This fill is a bit expensive but it can also be very useful and is worthy of its price. Meanwhile, synthetic fills are meant to be better when it comes to cold and damp conditions. Also, they have less sticker shock up front. The only pitfall of this fill is that it is heavier and less compressible compared with that of the down. Nonetheless, it still gets to do its job of trapping body heat as the main goal of the mummy sleeping bags.

Before buying any item, make sure that you have researched it religiously and know all the pros and cons of every product.

Getting prepared for a 100 kilometer or longer hike is just as challenging as the hike itself, but is vital, especially if you’re not already a seasoned long distance walker. You not just have to become prepared for the cardio demands that’ll be placed on your body. You also need to ensure you carry supplies with you to address any unexpected issues that come up while you’re hiking. A number of these issues, such as blisters or chafed thighs, could make you leave the hike regardless of whether your heart and muscles are up for it. Since you will be doing intensive hiking training to make preparations for the 100km hike anyhow, you may as well get used to taking these significant safety precautions as well .

You want to keep your feet in the best condition during hiking training, because, as you know, blisters can sideline you fast. First you want to supply the best protection for your feet that within your budget. To that end, you can purchase socks with medium and high cushioning. A sock with wicking features draws moisture away from the foot, which can assist in preventing the formation of blisters. If you do develop blisters, you need to fastidiously treat them with an antibiotic cleanser, antibiotic salve and moleskin or tape to guard your foot. There’s some feud as to whether it is smart to wear hill-climbing boots or trail cross-trainer shoes when attempting a 100km hike. Irrespective of which kind of shoes you select, ensure you break it in slowly and comprehensively before starting the hike. As important as you shoes is cosy underwear and an anti-chafing cream or spray to help your body feel at ease.

Many people find that their knees protest vigorously when asked to hike continously for a hundred kilometers. Knee discomfort can be caused when outer thigh muscles aren’t instructed to the exact same level as the inner thigh muscles, resulting in the kneecap being pulled off-kilter. Another reason for knee agony may be a quadriceps tendon that’s pulled more often than normal, resulting in agony at the base of the kneecap. Correct stretching and conditioning during hiking training can lessen both these conditions so that you will be able to finish you 100km hike.
Other issues of safety you’ll be wanting to consider during hiking training include correct hydration as well as high energy foods that may keep you moving thru the hike. Equally as important are sunblock protection and clothing with thermal layers to keep you warm at night or at high altitudes. Taking these safety precautions while you’re training will help you prepare so that you can successfully complete you 100km hike.

If you are a camper who always desires to learn or master the art of backpacking backpacks, then here are tips for you.

Firstly, start at the bottom of the pack. It is universally known that all backpacks have large openings on its top view and once you open them, you will see top-loading packs. Mostly all backpackers place his or her sleeping bag at the very bottom of the pack. There are things that can be placed here especially the ones that you will need until you do the camp at night. These things can be similar to an underwear, jackets, sleepwear, pillowcases, and other roll ups in tiny shapes. A flashlight is worthy to be positioned in an accessible spot where you can easily grab it.

Sleeping bags should not go together with items that produce various fragrance like alcohols or perfumes. Do this to keep yourself safe from the attack of the bears in the wild since they are not able to distinguish the smell of the food to the aroma of a nonfood. For example, they cannot distinguish the smell of a toothpaste or lotion to the jerky or any meat in your bag.

The sleeping bag compartment is an extra safe hide in your pack and this can be found at the bottom of your pack. There are many people who loved the convenience this safe brings. While the others are not pleased with it, because they don’t have access to their bags until the day ends. This compartment adds to the weight of the pack so do consider this aspect when buying one.

The heaviest items must be positioned on the top of your sleeping bag and it should be close to your spine. The items that usually go here are the food stash – it can be in a stuff stack or in a bear canister. Water supply in hydration or bottles should also be placed there. Your cook kit and stove are also advised to be placed here.

If you are carrying a hydration reservoir, check your bag to ensure you brought your reservoir sleeve. If the pack is empty this would be the best time to easily insert the reservoir. You are confronted with two options – one, do the insertion of the reservoir at your house and the one is to carry the reservoir in a cooler and put a load in it.

Always remember that you should put the heavy things in line with the center of your spine so that there would be better foundation. Don’t forget that external frame backpack can also be another choice for those who want to keep the pictures coming.

As you continue to read this content, you will soon realize what are the factors that you need to consider when choosing backpacking tents.

There are a few features that stand out when you hear the word backpacking tents. Doors and vestibules – they are considered to be the most common features that one may look for. When we talk about very light tents, the ones which are used in backpacking, comes with a single door at the head end. This set up can give a go but you cannot deny the fact that there are other available tents which offers 2 doors in 2 person tents. With these 2 doors, each camper can have a more private and more goodnight sleep, avoiding the other camper to wake up as one pleases to come and go out of the tent. This can be very convenient because there are times that you want to do other things before going to the tent while your camp mate decides to sleep earlier.
Vestibules are known to be the expendable parts of the tent’s rain-fly. They make a sheltered dry zone outside your tent for a place to keep your footwear and other gears dry.
Depending on the size and the tent model, each tent usually offers a single vestibule. However, if you find it important for you, you can look for high square foot numbers in tent specifications.
Do inquire if it is easy to put in place or setup. A tent can handle being set up without the use of stakes – and this is how it is meant with freestanding designs. With this, you will be able to pitch it faster and easier. When the need for a relocation arises, you don’t need to dismantle it and reassemble it on that specific place you want to transfer, all you need is to lift them by their poles and carry them to a new spot.

Generally, if your tent comes with ore pole sections then it may be more complex to set it up. For the second time that you will pitch it up, you will no longer experience the hassle like the first time you did because it will just come instinctively to you like a reflex action.

Practice setting it up at home so that you will master the art of setting it up. To avoid the panic and the pressure setting the tent up brings, do practice it at home because you will grasp the techniques easily when you are not pressured of a setting sun or approaching storm.
These are the primary things that you will need to know when shopping for hiking tents. Make sure that you bring your checklist once you check out other hiking tents in the store.

You are planning on taking a Hiking trip and you’re truly excited. Great! Now, there are a couple of things you must be conscious of to make sure this is not only a fun trip, but a safe trip. Most hikers do not think about some very simple guidelines to observe to make certain they have a safe trip. They do not think or worry if someone is late getting back. They only get troubled if they’re a long time over due. There is an old axiom called Sod’s Law that states that anything that will go screwy, will go bad, and at the worst possible time. Now we aren’t making an attempt to rain on your parade and be negative minded. These are simply a few rules that you must follow so as to be prepared in case Murphy’s Law does decide to apply to your hike.
Firstly, always come up with a plan or a schedule of where you are going to hike. There is such a thing called a “topographical map” or a trail map that you ought to have in your back pack with your scheduled hiking route marked upon it. You need to also give a copy of this map to a relative or friend who is not going on your trip. Just ensure your planned route is marked upon the map you leave with your friend. You need to do this just in case something astonishing occurs and you are not making it back. Then your mate can call the Search & Rescue groups and have them search for you.
You need to also know that if you decide that you will need to wander from the plan, you should not stray too far. You may find that there is a washout on the path or some rocks have fallen and you can not get thru. Then you’ve got to take an alternate path. But do not go too far off your course, as it would make it tougher for your mates or the Search & Rescue team to find you.
Be prepared for all kinds of weather on your hiking trip. Weather can change from sunlight to snow or rain without much notice at all . Bring the correct clothing to protect you from all types of weather.
Also remember to bring stuff like a whistle, in case you are wounded and need somebody to find you. A whistle is an excellent method to get someone’s attention. Carry a twenty four hour pack with you. This pack will have all you need in case you are out in the field for twenty-four hours, like a meal or high energy break and a walkers blanket. This way you’ll be prepared for anything that comes up. This could be a pre-packaged back pack to help in case the sudden occurs. This is often a smaller pack if you’re just going on a short hike, like just 1 or 2 hours, or it may be a 2nd pack to carry with your planned pack to use only in the event of an emergency.
There are lots of other rules you need to be conscious of. These are only a few of the most vital rules to protect you and prepared for anything that might occur on your trip. Take a look online and read some of the other rules which will help you’ve got a safe and pleasurable hiking trip. Its better to be prepared than to have to learn the difficult way.
